For the first time of its history, the French Order of Chartered accountant organises its annual congress – the 71st congress – at the hearth of the European Union (EU) in Brussels.

The congress, organised in the centre of the EU single market, with more than 20 million companies and more than 500 million inhabitants, “will allow to place the accountancy profession […] as a tax reference stakeholder susceptible to meet the concerns expressed by the European public authorities », said Philippe Arraou, President of the French Order of Chartered accountant.

The 71st congress will be focused on the pillars topics of the Chartered accountant job: the accountancy and the tax.

The main themes will be the tax and the tax advice because the latter are key themes for accounting and advising firms and answered to the European news.

It will permit also to put in the perspective the French and European practices, in particular the fiscal matters and to present comparative approaches between the practices implemented in different [European] Union countries in such a way that the Chartered accountants could develop their advising activities in this field”, according to Christian Scholer, co-rapporteur of the congress.

The 71st French Chartered accountant congress will take place:

From Wednesday 28 September at midday
Until Friday 30 September 2016 at 6 pm.

The meeting place of the French, European and International accounting professionals is:
Brussels Expo – Place de Belgique 1 – Brussels – Belgium.
